About Zoundry
Zoundry LLC was founded by three friends who previously worked together at a search software startup in New Haven, CT. We saw that people often recommend stuff to their friends and family, like books, CDs, MP3 players, and baby gear, but very few know how to earn commissions on their referrals using affiliate marketing. The problem is that most people just aren't comfortable placing and editing affiliate links in HTML.
So we started Zoundry with the idea that anyone, regardless of HTML skills, should be able to share his or her product knowledge online and earn rewards from referred purchases. Our goal is to create easy-to-use software that hides the complexities of affiliate marketing, so writers can focus on writing instead of worrying about technology.
Working nights and weekends and finding consulting gigs where we could, we got Zoundry off the ground with our initial beta of the Zoundry Product Placement Engine ™ in December 2004. This software made it easy for one to write product and gift suggestions in a blog, and place affiliate links to earn cash rewards when readers click through and purchase. Along the way, we also created two desktop Blog editors - Zoundry Blog Writer™, followed by Zoundry Raven.
As of July 2011, we have discontinued the Zoundry Service program. Our desktop editor is still available at Zoundry Raven.
